Our main characters were a Beer and a Pretzel with a lot of inspiration from a graphic style of the 1930’s: Flat colors, thick outlines, rubber hose limbs and glove-hands. That influenced how we thought of the characters posing and acting, matching the animation style of that period, animating the characters frame by frame.

To give a spotlight to the fine design of these brand new cans we went all in with photographic looking 3D. It allowed us to be creative with the movement and lighting of the cans and gave full control of the integration between 2D and 3D.

The final piece of the project was a pack of still images displaying the cans with pretzels. All done in 3D, we had the challenge of portraying hyper-real Synder’s of Hanover pretzels. Grab a bite!
